Just recently i got into the awesome Shadow Hearts series and unknown to me this game is a Prequel to Shadow Hearts. I dont think many people will know about this game as its pretty rare and it received pretty negative reviews/scores. For me though i bought the game to see more on Koudelkas character. The best thing about the game is the graphics by far. There are plenty of FMV scenes and the voice acting is probably the best iv heard not to mention not many PS1 games had voice acting back then. The game play is pretty basic but unique. You move characters on a grid if you want and select attacks/magic. Weapons in the game break after a certain amount of time so you have to be careful and magic levels up after its used alot. After levelling up you put points into various different stats like 2 points into Magic and 2 into Attack etc so you have to think which stats you want to upgrade to make the most out of your characters. The characters level up pretty fast and you get plenty of items from battles too so this is good. The bosses in this game are pretty hard though so you have to be levelled well and plan your strategy carefully. Now the game is very short even though it comes on 4 disks. The music is something else that could have been improved i mean the music is awesome dont get me wrong but they could have had far more tracks. So overall the game is very fun but its too short and lacks things here and there. Id say play this game if you like Shadow Hearts but if not then you probably will hate it.
