Perhaps the best game I have ever played.

I had been interested in this game when I found out about it, but I was left feeling unsure as to whether I should buy it or not because of all the poor reviews it received. I ended up getting it cheap on eBay one day, and I'm very glad that I did as I loved it instantly. I loved the story; I loved the setting; I loved how the game played; and I loved the sound completely. It has taught me not to overly consider the reviews a game gets when deciding whether or not to buy a game, but to go with my own instincts and interests a lot more.

I know that this game is not and would not be considered perfect by many, but it was perfect to me because of the setting, the theme, and the general aura of the game. It appeals to me to take the role of a knight, of a Crusader, and although many games feature you as a valiant warrior of some kind, they often tend to be fantastical or unrealistic. And while the main story of this game is fictional, the Knights of the Temple of Solomon (Templar Knights) was a real order founded by Crusaders in Jerusalem in 1118 to defend the Holy Sepulchre and Christian pilgrims. A Templar Knight was not only a skilled and valiant warrior, but a holy and righteous one (generally speaking), and how many games are there that care about holiness or God at all? Not many that I know of, and because this game does might be a reason why many might not care for it, but for me, it was a plus. I loved the goodness of the story, of what you were trying to do, and this was amplified by some beautiful and moving cutscenes. The music in the game, especially the ethereal variety that would play when you were nearing death, also helped to further the spiritual and honourable feel of the game.

Anyway, I really appreciated the experience this game gave . . . there aren't many (if any) games like this out there . . . so I just wanted to voice my appreciation because there doesn't seem to be much of it going around!

Purely and simply, I loved this game . . . and if valour with honour is something you admire, then you might just love this game too.
