Lol I lost this game years ago, and just happened to find it last week on the shelf of a shop which I'm glad sells the same stuff over and over again =P It took me 8 hrs to beat, and the rest kept me snowboarding and water skiing. Klonoa 2 is one of those fairy tale stories like Little Red Riding Hood, a series of childish events which take one back to his origins; whether being the shy kid(Klonoa), or the tough bully (last boss i forget his name). The game itself is a traditional platformer with each level separated from the other, only in a cuter way when your on "the world map". Graphics excelled regardless of the effectiveness of the technology used back then, especially when Klonoa gets on his board and begins swerving while performing tricks with big air. The characters look like dolls, or rather an improved version of FF7 graphical designs. Also, the enemies are adorable, small things which do not bleed nor howl, and this allows Klonoa's ring to take full advantage of the jumping abilities through easy capture. Sometimes, its just fun to double triple jump and hover with your ears =P Suitable music followed every event, be it a boss battle, or standard side-scrolling inside the dingiest of rooms. This goes especially well with the numerous points in the game Namco designed to give Klonoa a sort of temporary "flying technique", as you will see if you go to the big construction site looking level. Press R2 and L2 while flying for better results =P The game is short, but lively enough to make one feel one's been playing for a long time, as the minigames and quick-paced shifts will keep you entertained. It's only flaw is the too-short storyline which doesn't exactly tie the story to the ending. All in all, Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil is a must have for any gamer of any age wishing for an experience which stands out as modern and exhilarating compared to most RPGs of today.
