No game is perfect... But this game comes really close!

I played the original Klonoa in late 2012 after downloading it from the Playstation Store, it was lots of fun but it didn't drain my time for long as the game was painfully short, I got the sequel on my birthday and I couldn't wait to try it out and let's just say... I have never played a game this close to being perfect as Klonoa 2. In the story, Klonoa gets washed up on an island and is helped by two new characters, Lolo and Popka, they guide Klonoa to a safer place to tell him about the evil that lurks upon this world and how only he can stop it, I won't spoil anything else so let's jump into the gameplay, it's mostly identical to the first game but with some new puzzle elements thrown in, it feels very natural and alot of the puzzles will have you scratching your head for a while. The graphics are fantastic and even age well by today's standards, some of the characters you encounter in the game can be really creative and colourful, the graphics get you into a great mood. The music is also great with a personal favourite of mine being 'Stepping Wind' The replay value is there but it's not as rewarding as the first game, you can unlock useless pictures for a scrapbook and there are secret levels that aren't really worth it either, the game is fun to play, just don't expect any grand rewards when you beat the game. There is multiplayer but all Player 2 can really do is give you a jump boost which can actually be useful for high ledges, so it's not all bad. The game is longer than the first game which is great to hear so it might take you a week or two to finish it. Overall, Klonoa 2 is the closest we'll ever get to a perfect game in my opinion with only one minor flaw being the rewards you get for beating the game, if Namco ever bring back Klonoa, then I hope Klonoa 3 becomes that perfect game we've all been looking for but until that ever happens, we have this fantastic PS2 gem that gets the title of my favourite game of all time.
