Kingdoms Of Amalur gives off new features that are deemed heresy for an RPG game.....But It is a good game :)

User Rating: 8.5 | Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning PC
Kingdoms Of Amalur takes you in the land of Amalur where you take control of your customized character that seemed to be dead.....and then reincarnated into a god for some reason.
Graphics

The graphics is nothing to brag about, and makes up for it with good designs and concepts.
+Original and inspired designs-The game has good texture detail and character design. Good monsters (somewhere in the middle->last of the game),armor, weapon designs
+Gameplay oriented landscape-The game maps are WELL designed and detailed. Each city has its unique designs and you would notice that it looks like Fable, but a little more realistic

- Crappy Shaders-The pixel shader and the glow is extremely ANNOYING. Its not a good complement for the gamers eyes and I get headaches playing this game
- Texture popping- Though im not a graphics whore, the texture popping is SOOO obvious and is seen everytime you turn or walk in a distance. It can get annoying
-Some weird animations- Aside form the killer moves and the magic, how the character runs and "pops out" his shield is alittle awkward

Gameplay
The gameplay mixes button mashing adventure with an RPG interface. Expect leveling up and slicing your enemies into juicy pulp...like Kratos

+Challenging opponents- Challenging opponents can be encountered all around the gameworld and its very common
+Moves/Combos/Skills- The moves and combos in this game is epic, there are tons of moves to unlock through leveling and they are breathtaking
+No class restriction- You basically wield anything you can but their potency is determined by how you spend your points (Might,Finesse or Sorcery). The games restriction only centers on having your character have a specific number of points in one of the three to use a weapon w/ requirements.
+Massive game world- I really didnt expect it to be this massive, it really took alot of time travelling to undiscovered territory
+Crafting and the like- You can create things by combining shards (to make jems), use alchemy and forge armor.
+Sidequests and Factions- There is ALOT of sidequests and factions that also give sidequests...nuff said

-Crappy character customization- Its impossible to make beautiful characters in game, so its quite hard to be confident playing a character you never get attached to because you cant make your dream character...:D

There is nothing really negative about the gameplay, but its possible that the game needs more mobs, or variety in NPC and monsters

The game concentrates on delivering gameplay than graphics. Amalur can be boring at the start, but when you acquire awesome armor and progress through the story, it is a good experience.
