Good game, with issues

Overall this is an OCD nightmare. You can't turn and cough without seeing something to loot or a plant to pick. Once you max out "Detect Hidden" you can't get anywhere without ignoring so much wonderful loot. Not a bad thing, just something to consider if you are like me, you can't even let a plant go even though you have no points in alchemy.

The combat system is the best part of the game. It is quick and responsive and entertaining to watch. I can't say much about the story... I'm about 30 hours in and I can't seem to break away from side-quests. I would say KoA is a good mix of Fable and Skyrim... with issues.

This is yet another game that uses durability in the items... a bone-headed idea from start in ANY game. At level 20 it isn't uncommon to see a repair bill of 50,000 when I have about 200,000. This is made much cheaper by buying repair kits every time you see them. Which means... just skip that stupid system completely please.

The item creation system is very interesting and fun to do. It takes a lot of breaking down items and looting to get a good combination of components to make the item you are looking for but in the end it is great to see what you can come up with.

All-in-all: worth playing on day 1 but could have been done better
