Kingdom Hearts was a huge suprise to me. I am no fan of any Final Fantasy game, or any RPG, but my friend would not shut up about this game and how great it was. So I borrowed it from him and was amazed. I knew more about Disney the Final Fantasy and had no trouble with the story line. Some people call it an RPG, but Kingdom Hearts is more really like Ratchet and Clank 2. You run around fighting monsters that have invaded various Disney worlds, (Wonderland, Atlantica, Halloween Town, etc) and for every enemy you kill you are given an amount of Experience Points, the bigger the monster the more, you are told when ever you gain a level and thats all the RPG really in the game. You can also equip your party members with attacks and weapons, but there is only 2 others with you at any time. Most of the time it will be you, (Sora), Donald Duck, and Goofy. It sounds cheesy, but you get used to it and it not that bad. The levels are all different, because every level is on another "world". The level with Peter Pan will have you fighting in Captain Hook's Ship, then flying around Big Ben. Or the level with the Little Mermaid will have you swimming around the ocean. Like I said the levels are all created so you really feel like your playing another game. The bosses are mostly all villians from Disney movies, (some are from Final Fantasy though). There is usually about 2-3 bosses per level. Another thing in the game that adds a bit of replay value is the Olympus Collusem, you can go to this world, (based on the Hercules movie) and fight in Gladiator like battles where you, Donald, and Goofy face off agianst a handful of enemys. Even though this game may look like a kids game, it is Disney, I think anyone who wants to play a fun game with little violence would like Kingdom Hearts. I cant wait for the second one!
This game has been one of the best action RPGs I've ever played in my life. At first I didn't want to like it cause I had the normal, "Don't mess with the childhood Disney legacies." But after I finally tried it I abso... Read Full Review
