An overall outstanding game. Never before had a game featuring Disney characters been so popular.

I've never been a really big fan of Disney, and to be honest, I dislike almost everything that involves the company. This game was an exception. It melded together outstanding gameplay and a mix between Disney and Square-Enix characters to create a highly original, fantastic RPG. You begin the game as Sora, a boy who gets thrown into a world with little choice of what to do. His friend is kidnapped and taken away by a shadowy crew of fiends. He sets out to find her and is thrust into a world of magic and mystery. Accompanied by Goofy and Donald Duck, the party must defeat countless enemies and discover the true meaning behind the Keyblade. The keyblade is a weapon used by Sora. The keyblade chose Sora as it's master, and helps him in his battle for triumph over evil. The game contains many RPG aspects, but it has more of an Action Adventure feel about it. It's fast-paced combat and unique battle system add a highly involving and entertaining aspect to the game. With this, there are a couple of dozen abilities to learn for each character, a large range of items and weapons available, and a overwhelming number of different enemies to strategically defeat. Kingdom Hearts features an intriguing musical score that any RPG fan would be pleased with. The music ranges from Disney movie soundtracks which are of adequate quality and Square's epic soundtracks. All the sounds in this game help to set the feel of this magical world. Kingdom Hearts is a must-buy for all you RPG fanatics out there, and even those who prefer the action adventure genre. Never have I liked a Disney-based game so much.
