This is KOF's first venture into 3D territory it took them awhile to do it (not that's a bad thing, I'll miss the 2D art) this not only adds 3D graphics but adds some new play mechanics such as being able to move around the ring. Also for those with little skill there is a variety of difficulties (six of them!) so unless you really suck you should be able to find a level you can handle. Visually the game is fine but I'm sure the sequel will be better looking. Character designs are for the most part pretty good. Keep in mind to truly enjoy this game, like most fighters you will need human opponents to play against, its a blast then for sure. I personally own the collector's edition which comes in a nice box with a bonus DVD that includes interviews with Falcoon (character designer) and the game programmers/designers. Also lots of character info and the history of the series a bit.
