Not great but a good enjoyable game...

So far I'm pleased with the game. I've only played the single player so my comments are in regard to that only. No it does not live up to the hype but what does? Yes it does have some problems. The AI is not as bad as you've heard but it's not real good either. It's happened several times where I've been in plain sight of the enemy and they dont react at all. The graphics are pretty good. Nothing ground breaking but they are good especially for the ps2. ( I happen to own all the systems and the xbox is my favorite but I dont have anything against the ps2 or the cube. ) The opening cinematic is awesome. Same quality as the one in Demon Siege. Very cool! The sound is good also. I have no problem with the music they picked and the sound effects are great. The voice of the bad guys are a bit wierd and I dont like it much. It's hard to describe but it gets old quick. Most will definetly not think this is a Halo killer. Especially a Halo or xbox fanboy but it is a good game and worth checking out. I'm not a big Halo fan. I prefer more realistic shooters and this right up my alley. I think Halo is a good game but I honestly dont see what all the fuss is about. I didnt think the single player was that great. A bit tedioius at times actually and no online but to each his own. I'm hoping the online play of halo 2 rocks becuase thats where it's at. Online play with a reliable fast connection blows away any single player shooter. 2 recent games that I bought rainbow six broken arrow and star wars battlefront I have never played the single player. Just the online gameplay.
