Killer 7 is easily one of the oddest, refreshing, artistic, games I have ever played. You have to be a hard core gamer and artist to truely appriciate it's level of complexity and simplisity. Basically you are Mr. Smith, and Smith has 7 personalities that he is able to project into the "real world". He is known for being the worlds greatest assasin. Each one of the personalities have their own "gifts". I prefer Dan because he's the best shot. But once you unlock Killer * Mr. Smith is a better shot. The story line is really complex and you have to play through it a couple of time to really get it. Basically it's a comentary on the power and cover ups of the modern day governments. It totally has a political message. The graphics are the most unique that I have ever seen. They are cell shaded, but not like anything you've ever seen before. The line work is aggressive and the animation flawless. The lighting and shadowing create a weird mood through out the game. You don't know whether to cover your eyes or feel weired out. Needless to say you will never really ever feel comfortable with them. As you progress through the game you are on a rail system. You hold A and the game takes you where you need to go. There is no joystick use during movment. Along the way you will battle with demons called smiles. They run, fly, crawl, laugh, and explode causing you to die pretty quickly. You will also have to face the most unique boss battles that I have ever faced, and I've played some pretty whacked out games. First you have to find the smiles by using your focus button (The Smiths can only see them, no one else can) then you can aim with your joystick once in FPS mode and file your gun. If you hit the sweet spot they die, if not then keep firing and hope they don't reach you. The sounds and music really make this game a edgy expierence. Combined with the graphics and the amount of damage caused by enemies, there is a lot of tension that builds through out this game. The music and edgy and the sounds creepy. All in all Killer 7 is an aquired taste, kind of like coffee. If you're looking for something completely new and off the wall this is a great game to play through. If you're looking for a tradional FPS you should steer clear and pick up Halo or something.
