Gundam Seed is a series that has captured a wide audience of both Gundam fans and the occasional anime watcher. It is not a surprise to see such a series get its own game.

Enter Gundam Seed, Rengou vs. Zaft. the game itself is a 3D, 3rd person, open-enviroment, action game. You control a mobile suit whether it is the cannonfodder, i mean, average mobile suit all the way up the food chain to a Gundam. From there, you pilot your mobile suit of choice, using its unique weapons from long range sniper rifles, missiles, even close-range daggers to fight off foes.

the game itself contains multiplayer modes, an arcade, and a mission mode.

the arcade mode allows you chose a mobile suit and a pilot. Each mobile suit follows a senario similar to the roles they had in the show. For example, choosing a Mobile Ginn, alongside a ZAFT pilot starts you off with the attack on Archangel and the Strike. loosely following the storyline. you continue playing to achieve a high score, true to arcade mode.

the mission mode is close to the same, except it follows the story more to a higher degree. you start off with mission 1, the more missions you beat, the more you can take on and accomplish. So chose between OMNI or ZAFT and enjoy a few hundred missions. also, by beating missions, you gain more points, the more points you gain, you can either upgrade your suit or chose a better one. so upgrade your mobile suit for more health or take that sleek new Gundam out an take out some enemies and vessels.

Multiplayer is pretty obvious, find a few more pilots, hop into your mech of choice, and blast them. obviously, if you are the last one standing, you did good and have obviously won.

the sound, controls, and gameplay work very well and give you a quick fix of Gundam action.

the only bad thing i can think of is the action can feel repetitive after awhile, thats when you need to take a break, go outside, look at the sun, and then get back into the game.

So ENJOY, and since its on the PSP, it can go anywhere you go.
