The game started in japanese arcades before getting a console port for fans. This game is a great addition to the Gundam VS series. It has a large cast of playable characters, ranging from the original series to the manga series Gundam EX A. It cuts off just before the series debut of Gundam Age. The game plays very well, all mobile suits feel unique and fun to play as.
There is no story to the game but it does have an arcade mode allowing you to play from a very easy difficulty to a very challenging difficulty. It allows you to decrease and increase the difficulty as you play allowing you to push yourself against more challenging foes and make it more easier for yourself, so it can be more fun than stressful. The boss battles are fun and challenging to keep players pushing their skills against these overpowering foes and there a boss battle arcade feature for those challenge searching players.
The free play mode allows you to play solo or with friends. You can change the number of playing suits ranging from a 1v1, 1v2 and 2v2. Like every other fighter you can change the difficulty of the CPU's, choose from a range of stage and change the music (including themes from Gundam series), change the cost for mobile suits and cost amount allowing you to push yourself and making battles longer and free feeling.
There is also a mission mode for players. This is a fun feature pitching your chosen mobile suit against enemies of different levels with minor characters from the different series to bring you into those unique gundam series.This mode allows you to upgrade the suits for this mode, giving you the chance to make ur suits personal.
