it's a fine game for the ds and a fun one for your game library.Those of you who wanted a Zone of the Enders for a portable console,fear not.To ease the wait this game is for you.
Graphics : 9/10
Solid graphics for the ds,and that's the most surprising part(altough the levels feel blocky) the mecha seem prety good.
Gameplay : 9/10
You select a mission and play simple as that."BOOOOOOO THAT SUCKS"
Yes i agree as far as the story goes...well it is an anime game so yeah...
BUT don't take the game lighty.Here's the thing:You have four mechas to choose from,piloted by four different youths who are part of an organisation,each with it's own strenghts and weaknesses.Also think about Zone of the Enders.Done?OK.The gameplay is a carbon copy of that and as the story progresses things get more difficult and chalenging.Also you have a support system which helps during missions.The main concern is the drop of power(military) of the 3 main superpowers of the world.The gameplay CAN be addictive.
Story : 8/10
Although the story is pretty good in the anime,here it's chopped very much,for Smoe? reason.But it's ok.No biggie.
Sound : 10/10
Music and voices directly from the anime are very well rendered in,blending with the action making it fun.
Overall score : 9/10
A pretty good game for the ds and a nice addition to your ds game library.Also a reminder that zone of the enders isn't finished yet.Apart from that,a nice anime-based game from the popular Gundam series.Enjoy.
