This game has very fluid art and clean, absorbing environments. However, master one or two move combos, and you've written your ticket. I beat my way through the fighting grid in a little over 30 minutes. No kidding. It's much better-looking than Mortal Kombat, but it offers little in terms of plot: just pick a fighter and go. Unfortunately, this game provides you with interesting characters, such as Daeva, the woman with ram's horns, and a plethora of fighting styles from jeet kune do to ninjitsu, but you don't get to use the full range of moves from these arts that you'd be able to draw on in real life. Where were the arm locks and bone breaks? This might be nice in the arcade, but it's not worth more than a quick rental other than that.
