A great introduction to a great system.

When I first got my Xbox, it came with the double-game pack special that every system has gone through. For the most part, these games are expectantly boring and lukewarm, and are usually found in the used game bin for a buck. Well, when I saw "Comes with TWO GAMES" splashed accross the box, I just felt like my mom was too lazy to shop for 'real' games. I ended up staying up until 12 at night skating around Tokyo's rich and lush graphics in JSRF: Jet Set Radio Future. It's just too fun to be an included game. It's not like Tony Hawk: Pro Skater or anything, but in some ways, that's a good thing. You don't end up mashing a ton of buttons together in frustration because your X+A+B,,, Y+B+X combo failed for the seventeenth time. It's all about timing, which is nice. Also, JSRF actually has a plot. Plus a lot of techno music. Ooooh, techno music. It's soundtrack is diverse and pleasing (Except for "Birthday Cake"; shoot yourself when that song comes on). And money isn't an issue; you earn characters from skating. Also, multiplayer is really fun, there is a great variety of tracks and arenas, and capture the flag is very addicting.

The problem I had with the game is it's difficulty; it gets pretty hard early on in the game. Some of the relays are just riduculous and take numerous plays to beat *barely*, and the timed events are... trying, to say the least.

You can probably find this game and it's Sega GT counterpart (which is pretty fun too) for 2 bucks used at Gamestop. Why anybody would sell this game is beyond me...
