So how did Rare's first stab at Xbox Live Arcade turn out? Well, in a word "Awesome". Jetpac Refueled has frantic action, intuitive yet wonderfully fun gameplay, a unique design, bright colors and colorful sound to deliver the greatest XBLA shooter to date! Jetpac Refueled also sets a new standard on Live for retro arcade games demonstrating to other developers how repolishing a game for the next gen is really done. The idea of the Jetpac Refueled is to build a rocket ship by collecting parts and then getting enough fuel to move on to the next level. However, accomplishing this task is not quite as easy as it sounds. You will have all sorts of unique Aliens with varied patterns trying their best to make sure you never leave their planet and words cannot describe the intensity these battles can create! The graphics should also be noted here because this game really sets the standard for Xbox Live Arcade in a huge way! The design and effects will really suck you into the game and create a visual spectacle that will make most full price games pale in comparison. To sum it up, Jetpac Refuelled, makes every retro game on Arcade seem like an embarrassment. It is polished to a "T" and offers some of the most addicting and fun gameplay you will find! And at five dollars it is the best value in gaming today!
