When I first saw the screens for Jet Force Gemini, I couldn't wait until the holiday season to be getting this game. When I finally got it, I was amazed by this game and played it for a long time. I even pick it up every now and then and play through some levels just to remember how great this game is! I have to say that this is a great game with awesome graphics, a great story, and sweet gameplay. This game does have some setbacks, but it's overall a great experience.

I'll start off with some of the problems I encountered that bugged me. First off, I think the multiplayer is kind of boring and lame. It might be that my brothers were too young to play this game when I got it, but I just never enjoyed the multiplayer aspect of this game; I was so entranced by the single player portion of the game, that it just seemed secondary to the grand adventure awaiting me.

Another bad aspect of the game is when you're nearing the end of the game and you're having to find every last creature to save them so that you can move off to the last planet, fight the final boss, and finish the game. At first, collecting the little bears is fun, but after awhile, it can become tedious and feel out of place when you're running through whole levels looking for one native. But, now to the positive of this great game!

This game is like an awesome book. It's a very visual game. The cinema scenes that flesh out the story are cool, and you really get sucked into this world where the bugs are taking over. The graphics are top notch in this game; the guns look amazing, the levels are very well detailed, and the characters look great. Everything flows amazingly, and even flying to a new level is pretty sweet. I only ever really experienced some slowdown in some very intense fighting, other than that, this game ran very smoothly.

The sound is also top notch here. The weapons sound awesome, and all of the different sounds the characters and enemies make are really crisp. The music is well done as well.

The story of this game is also a highlight; playing as a brother and a sister, as well as their dog (who rocks!), you run from planet to planet in a quest to save the tribals and the entire universe from the evil bugs. At the start, you can only use the brother, but you later find the rest of the team after certain points in the game. They all start out on their own adventures on different planets, but when they meet up, you can use any of them to access areas you couldn't previously before to find more locals and secret areas. The boss battles are also a great part of this game, and you really feel proud when you take down these huge baddies! (Some of them are just disgusting, but it's all good fun!).

Overall, this is one of the best games for the N64. If you're looking for a game that will suck you in and not let you go, then pick up Jet Force Gemini, and see for yourself one of the greatest adventures of all time. With a great presentation, amaxing music, and great characters, this is one game that you won't want to pass up!
