They have taken all things good about the series and left a piece of rubbish in its place!
The Lost Frontier is quite frankly, one of the worst games I have played and has come from one of the best series ever made on the PS2. They have removed most of jaks guns, dark and light jak and stuffed other rubbish into it. The main reason for this is that Naughty Dog did not create the game as some other stupid company have tried to make money off of the success of the series.
Usually my section of the bad parts of games would be a small sentence at the bottom but not with this game. That will be the good.
The first part of the game that almost lead me to pulling my eyes out and stuffing them down my throat was the camera. For over half of the game I couldnt see where Jak was. It just didnt work! Is it really that hard to make a games camera follow where you are going?
The next part is the gameplay. The biggest load of crap stuffed into one disc possible. The only part I wasnt forcing myself through was the flying sections. They were not a bad idea but it still could have been better. The game is too simple and takes no skill at all. It is just hit. run. hit. run. win. No dark or light jak, no cars, the guns were crap. It is the gameplay that emos watch to cut themselves so it feels like less pain.
Music. There isnt really any music, well unless you call what sounds like a cat dying, music. I turned the sound off after the first 10 minutes of playing the game.
Everything else. I remember the first time I played Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. I wasnt expecting that much but it took me by surprise in length and difficulty. It was an extremely fun game. Jak 2 took the series in a whole new direction and it worked. The game was possibly even better than the first. Jak 3 Was the best in the series for me. It keep all the best parts of the first 2 games and added more like light Jak, cars and more weapons. It was one of the best PS2 games ever made. I am not gonna mention Jak X because that didnt belong in the series. Then came the lost frontier. For some reason, when I bought it I didnt want to play it. I wish I never had. I hated every moment of it.
There is nothing in this game worth getting and the company who made it are just trying to make money off of the series. Naughty Dog have abandoned Jak and Daxter and left them to slowly die. For the people who played the Lost Frontier, painfully. Everything about the game sucks and only buy the game if you would like to make commiting suicide less painful.
