Jackie Chan

This game took ages to come out.
And i was waiting with anticipation for ages too.
When finally getting the game i was a bit dissapointed as it was not quite the game i thought it was going to be with only a handfull of jackie moves.

I thought the fighting was going to be as sophisticated as say virtua fighter.

Not so, still a nice variety of moves, combos, and grabs to pull off but nothing special unfortunatley.

The first thing you see when you boot up the game is a movie, and introduction into whats in store for the chunky hero. Very good movies actually capturing jackies talents in a game as seen on screen.

Jackie was roped into this game and had his likeness scanned and had motion capture done, nice but a bit limited on the ps1.

The graphics are big and chunky and easy on the eye being colouful and atmospheric if a bit repeated througout the game. Smooth enough framerate even if it is a bit slow throughout.

the controlls are responsive enough and do the job, nice variety in the platforming at first but then is repeated througout and the action gets repetitive.

The game does have that jackie charm but not as much as i expected, i would love to see a sequel on the ps2 or ps3 though with a more complex fighting system with all of jackies trademark moves.

I still enjoyed this game a lot being a jckie chan fan and is well worth a play if you like fighting with slapstic humour but otherwise this is now a dated game and shows.
