Surprisingly good game and definitely worth the money! Performing stunts and smashing your bones as hard as you can!
From what I expected, this game would be another b-game just like the other Jackass the Games, but I was wrong! This game is actually a lot of fun!
The game
There is a total of 6 levels filled with lots of cool stunt-devices, vehicles and pickups such as suits (Chicken suit, Santa Claus suit etc.), new clothes and other pickups you have to collect throughout the game for your missions.
The engine
What really surprised me was that this game actually uses the well-known ragdoll effect which simulates how the body would fall in real life, you'll know it from games such as Half-Life 2 and Killzone. It's the first time I've seen on the NDS! The frame rate is stable and there don't seem to be any problems at all.
The Graphics
The graphics are quite good for the Nintendo DS. There are no graphical glitches, good effects such as dust from when you fall etc. and the menus look good and are easily usable. What's also pretty cool is that about every Jackass actor is in this game and really look-a-like.
The Audio
Yes, the classic Jackass theme is included! There is a different song for each level, all fitting the level perfectly. The sound quality is pretty good, I would give it an 8.0. I especially like the sound of breaking bones when you smash into the ground or splatter against the wall of a building, it's really hilarious.
Good points:
- Good controls, really like the stunt ability when on a vehicle.
- Good graphics, audio and engine.
- Nice 'storyline' ;D
- You can do stuff next to missions, free roaming!
Bad points:
- The camera sometimes gets stuck between you and the wall when you walk against a wall.
- You can fill the "broken bones" meter way too easily.
- I really miss an online option, that would be really cool!
Conclusion:
This game is worth the money and it guarantees you a good time!
If you have some money to spare, get this game!
