Best among the console browser bunch, but 5 dollars is questionable.

User Rating: 7 | Internet Channel WII
I hate the PSP Internet browser (and I expect the PS3 browser to be the same), I haven't the Opera DS browser, and I don't like my mobile's browser all that much. So when I found out that the Wii had an Internet Channel, I immediately had to download it because I'd like to watch some YouTube videos on TV, but I wouldn't want to always have to hook up my MacBook via VGA so with this Channel, it's possible to be a plug-and-play experience. I mean, not everyone can afford an Apple TV, ya know?

Yes, it supports Flash, but not the latest version, although adequate enough for such a simple operation. And as for pages, it loads them with the same look as your PC browser, and they look pretty good even though, yes, not all pages are compatible with Opera.

Some pages even have natural Wii support- like GameSpot's- and you can even use some motion sensing mechanics to, for example, rate a game.

But of course, typing is cumbersome when you're aiming for a letter and you don't always get the right one, so it's pretty much a doozy to get USB keyboard support.

During the release of the Wii, it was a free beta, and later, a free upgrade from the people who tried out the beta. I, however, was not lucky enough to get my hands on that beta, so I was especially disappointed to find out that an OPERA browser is not FREE!

But as far as gaming browsers go, most of them are pretty lackluster. But this one is actually the best among the bunch and is the most highly recommendable, although 5 dollars is questionable- especially for Opera. It won't really replace your PC browser, but it's very much adequate.
