Very old school rpg with its owns flaws.
The music and sounds are just amazing, they really fit in the game tones, very dark and moody, just hear the music when you enter a dungeon and you will be transported to those days when you were playing diablo 2 or Divine Divinity, the memories :')
There are a lot of quest lot of them and sometimes is hard to keep track on all of them, not only that but sometimes the game give you a quest very early that you cannot finish them very late in the game or an item so you will think you did something wrong or miss something. The game is ver very long around 100-120 hours divided in 3 main chapters and lot and lots of places to go.
You can play choosing 3 type of classes, paladin, thief and a priest, what ever you choose play it on easy because sadly one of the bad things about this game is the combat mechanic... You have a lot of skills and stats to distribute to your character but the game is just so hard, the enemies do so much damage that having your paladin maxed out and fighting 3 werewolf is dead for sure if you dont chug a lot of potion (and no werewolf are not any special enemy or something like that)
Enemies can break your armor in a few hits, kill you very fast in every way you can imagine, i can go on and on with the tons of flaws the combat system have or even the game, for example some enemies keeps respwaning just a little % but sometimes they respawn so fast and the type of enemy is so hard and it respawn in a place that will drive you mad!!! so just play it on easy and everything will be fine.
Combat aside, the game features one of the best dialogs and stories in a long long time, just bare in mind this game is not for kids, you will read about rape, murder, incest and every bad thing you can imagine and you torture (one of the games features) and kill them if you find out that they are heretics.
Lot and lots of items and players to talk to, and everyone will have something credible and interesting to say, everytime you have to make a hard decision and they are not real good or bad choices the game really shines in this.
The graphics are very good too, very detailed and dark with the perfect music to go along with them.
Finally some tips:
*Play it on easy really
*Dont destroy or lose white items!
*Use the seals all the time(most important items on the game)
*Take a screenshot of the maps specially the town and write down info on them, like were do the npcs are and what quest they give you, trust me you will thank me later for this one.
*Save the magic box for boss fights
For 15 dollars this game is definitely a must buy if you are into old rpg or games with good plot just play it on easy.
