Shut Up and Fight

User Rating: 8 | Injustice 2 PS4

Fast combos, painful throws, well-timed blocks and devastating special moves. Do you like fighting games? You'll love Injustice 2. Because it is just a fighting game; a dam good fighting game. Leveling your gear and mastering each characters unique strengths and weaknesses take lots of time, I'd recommend finding a character you like and sticking with them for a few hrs in single fights and multiverse events before moving onto the next. As with any fighting game, if you buy this and button mash for a few hours, you will have fun, but the game will get old. Taking your time to learn combos and intricate details of the game is as rewarding an experience as I can expect from a fighting game.

In terms of controls, on the PS4 i like the necessary combined use of the D-Pad and Left Analog Stick. Attacks are responsive and the range of motion on the attacks is nice. You don't need to land a perfect hit to do damage. Blocking is tough to learn and unless your playstyle revolves around blocking and waiting for your opportunity to strike, It is difficult to include in your fight. Personally, I find constant assault to be a more fun playthrough, it does mean that I eat more losses than I'd like, but that's just how I enjoy the game.
