Good game, Terrible in-app purchases

Audio:
I like the soundtrack but I think what really gets me is the voice acting. I really enjoy the cast and felt they offer a different take on characters we are so use to hearing in a certain way.

Visuals:
I haven't had an issues with bugs and that's a big plus because there's always some issue with fighting games visually. I like the character designs quite a bit but the maps were pretty lacking in originality.

Game Play:
Pretty simple and fun arcade style fighting game. Doesn't do much for originality but hey, It's still super fun to play.

Other:
Great campaign story. Campaign itself has some solid length to it and a bit of replay value as well. Multiverse is a great way to earn loot without having to spend money. The gear system was a great addition but also it's weakest because you can't pick and choose who you want loot for, It's all randomized and you could very well get repeats over new gear. It's quite the grind to max out characters so you gotta pick your favorite from early on and work them first before going else where. Maps are pretty uninspired and lack originality. Wide variety of characters on the roster and that includes a lot of new and welcomed additions. The season pass is quite the rip off at $40 and that doesn't include Darkseid, who is only available if you pay an extra $6. Too many sub currencies in this game that force in-app purchases, It's another way to scam people into wasteful spending on top of the base game (and season pass if they bought that too).

Overall: 8/10
The game itself is fantastic but the heavy use of in-app purchases totally knocks it down for me. I'm so sick of games doing this instead of giving fans just one stellar experience. This is really gonna effect my next purchase from them if this keeps up.
