A fun super-hero open world game that hasn't aged very well.

The first thing I noticed when starting Infamous was the frame rate. Maybe gaming on my PC has spoiled me, but the game lagged quite a bit.

The combat and overall feel of the game is great. Infamous is played out as an open world game with RPG type character progression; gain XP by killing enemies and completing missions to upgrade powers. All said and done, there's not much variety in missions, around half of which is spent running through sewers to gain new powers. It can get pretty tedious.

The story is played out quite well too, you are Cole, and you survived a large explosion that killed thousands of people and gave some, including you, super powers. The story plays out in two similar, yet different ways and affect Cole's character progression; good or evil. This is interesting since both ways have specialized super powers that tempt the player to beat the game a second time.

The overall gameplay was good, just not great because of low variety of missions and lag.

Graphics:
7/10

Much to be desired here. The graphic quality is "meh..." and the FOV is not very impressive, it's shrouded with fog. The frame-rate of Infamous is not very great and the quality of the game's graphics do not justify it.

Overall:
7.25/10

While having an interesting story about a flawed super-hero and having pretty good combat mechanics and gameplay, the missions were bland and tedious
