Ummmm let's see, it's a sim / role-playing / action adventure...and it's all good!

User Rating: 8.2 | Indigo Prophecy XBOX
Indigo Prophecy, is a fairly short game, you easily could finish it in one sitting. Granted you gave yourself at least half a day straight.

Here's my breakdown:

Gameplay: I was not thrilled with the controls in this game. The sim aspect was fine; but specifically, with the whole "simon" memorizing colors gameplay aspect, I could not stand this part. Found myself rolling my eyes everytime I say the words "get ready". In order for the character to perform a sequence of moves you have to use the 2 thumbsticks to repeat the color patterns for the character to manouver and in some cases to make sure the character doesn't die. Well, I found myself so wrapped up in making sure that the sequence of colors were repeated correctly, that you end up missing the actual video of what's taking place with the character. Sure it's not complicated; but incredibly annoying. The rest of the controls were fine.

Graphics: They're ok; but certainly nothing jaw-dropping. They're about par with the Silent Hill series.

Sound: Awesome! This is certainly one aspect of the game that adds to the drama which keeps you interested. Great voice acting and atmosphere.

Value: Certainly enough to keep you addicted, which naturally is great; however, it does leave you wanting more. Most of the good games of this genre tend to do that. But then that's pretty much an open door for a sequel that may inevitably follow.

Tilt: Bottom line, I'd definitely recommend this game. It was purchased and not rented. The story was very creative and as far as I know original. I'm confident I could see myself picking it up again just to play it all over.
