Like Harrison Ford, this game is outdated and boring.

User Rating: 2.5 | Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings WII
Ok, I was in a big chain video game store (I'm not going to mention their name) when I saw Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings for the Wii for $20. Nowadays, I haven't bought any Wii games cause they look horrible on my HD TV. Anyway, I decided $20 bucks for a used Wii game isn't that bad, and I heard a lot of hype about the game. The 12 year old kid inside of me who saw ''Temple of Doom'' 4 times back in 1984 told me to take a chance....

I was surprised when I took the game to the counter and the sales clerk gave me a brand new copy of the game, still sealed for $20. Isn't Staff of Kings a $40 to $50 game brand new??? Right then and there after I paid for the game, I realized that this Indiana Jones game would be far from good.

Things that really bugged me about this game:

1. Graphics look really bad. This game has PS1 / early PS2 like graphics, this is 2009 for crying out loud! I would be more upset about the out dated graphics in the game if I paid $50 for this thing. I'm beginning to think $20 was too much for this game.

2. The character animations: Watching Indy run, punch foes, use objects as weapons feels stiff and looks silly. The expressions that Indiana Jones makes during the cut scenes are so goofy. Picture Jim Carey as Indiana Jones.

3. Motion controls: punching with the Wii remote is terrible and using objects to hit enemies is lame as well. Controls do not respond all the time. Indy can't kick, jump or crawl. The whip works fine, but it is far from perfect.

4. Voice acting: Pretty bad for the most part. The characters say really dumb lines like, ''I'm going to hurt you'' over and over again. The guy who voices Indy does a good job.

5. There really is no story in this game. It starts and that's about it. Nothing about the story draws you into this game and makes you want to continue playing it.
6. The level design in the game is simple and very small.

Bottom line: Save your money. This game is a mess.
