An abysmal flight simulator which does the movie license no justice.
All the gameplay points in this game are terrible. Its underdeveloped, easy and above all god dam repetative. You take on the roll of a fighter pilot and as you go through the game you can pick up these tokens which unlock extra planes. But they are all hidden and the effort to find them is really a waste of time as all the planes handle the same, deal out the same ammount of damage and take the same ammount of fire before blowing up. The enemies, unlike in the film, are really easy to take down with a couple of blasts from youre cannon. And the missions are always destroy a certain ammount of stationary, or very slow moving, objects before blowing up the ships giant weapon (which is another stationary object) There is no storyline to this game either. Not even the movies storyline! And that really winds me up and knocks gameplay score down another notch.
Graphics:
Even for ps1 the graphics are terrible. Its so fuzzy you cant see 5 inches infront of youre face and the frame rate is so bad crahing 10 times on each mission is impossable to avoid.
Sound:
Beep. Beep. Beep. Boom. Boom. Bang. Beep. Beep.....over and over again. Is that all we get? No witty dialogue? No inspiring soundtrack? This game really avoids anything that could make it decent.
Value:
Value? Does this game have any value? Hang on. Im picking through my pockets. A piece of string...... a button......fluff.....a 2p coin. Thats it. Its not even worth that. Avoid this game. Just leave it well alone, unless you want to be depressed beyond belief after destroying youre tv and youre playstation because of this came being such a great pile of pap!
