This game is hard. And when I say hard, I don't mean it's just a bit difficult. I don't mean 'Ninja Gaiden' hard. I mean just HARD. But the game itself, is great. Every fan of vertical shooters should pick this up. I know it seems like the shooter has gone the way of the dodo, so that's why you have to get the good ones while you still can. Ikaruga won't blow you away with fancy graphics or a beautiful storyline. It just puts you in charge of a ship and you have to blow the crap out of everything to save the world. The whole idea of making you dodge different colors depending on what color your ship is, is great. It adds an interesting strategic aspect to the game. It was rare that this game was even released in this country. SInce it was, definately go check it out if you are a fan of shooters at all. You owe it to yourself.
