Simplistic and inexpensive, just what I'm looking for!!

IHRA Drag Racing 2005 is, as stated in another review, the Gran Turismo of drag racing. You start out taking license tests, which are very straight forward and simple, if you've passed the first you will have no problems passing the others. After that you set off to the dealership to select from a very bland selection of cars with what little cash you have been given. Once you obtain your car you can start racing, you must first start out with single events to get the feel of the game which is, again, very straight forward.

You basically start building from there, you can upgrade parts in your car, customize the color and schemes to a point, not expansive but it's not boring. The more you race the better you can become, trying to challenge yourself to get a better time. Better parts seem to help only slightly, yet they do help. You can play through the career mode or choose the arcade mode and race some of the best in the IHRA circuit! This game doesn't blow any racing game out of the water by any means but it is your only outlet to drag racing for the Xbox (minus previous versions) and it does a good job because it's fun!Simply but this game is simplistic and inexpensive, just what I'm looking for!!
