This game is a real thinker. If any game is gonna make you use brain, it's this one. You play as Ico, a young boy born with horns who was taken to an ancient temple to be sacrificed by being placed in a crypt and left to die. Unfortunately for the villagers who put you there, a small earthquake causes you to be knocked out of your crypt and you see a vision of the princess, Yorda. Lucky for you, she is conveniently located in the room immediately next to yours. After freeing her from her cage, you have your first fight against the evil spirits trying to return her there. Now here's the problem: this chick wanders. You can't get her to stay put for five seconds, much less follow you without dragging her by her hand. Not only that, but she's completely useless. The majority of most puzzles consist of creating a path for her instead of just proceeding on your own. And by the way, these puzzles get HARD. This game will suck you in with its unique style of gameplay. The graphics are also amazing. Not only were they incredible in their time, but they still hold up today. The game has a gloomy, somber look to it that fits in perfectly with the crumbling environment it surrounds. This game is a classic and definitely deserves a perfect ten.
