A good enjoyable game NEARLY ruined by Glitches

Having read some of the other reviews on this game and seeing it was only a 3 star, I was a little duious about renting this game. I decided to give it a go anyway and was very pleasantly suprised to be honest.

The game is based around two main characters looking for the daughter of king or major or someone, who has been kidnapped by some underground creatures who have previously been non aggressive.

The first thing that strikes you about the game is that it is LONG, VERY LONG. The is very unusual in todays game market, where the massivley overhyped games like call of duty etc, generally have single player campaigns that last less time than it takes the game to load. You would certainly feel like you had had your monies worth from this game.

The graphics are about average for a game like this and the enemy AI is well above average, with archers that run away from you to try and get a shot in, swordsman that actually use their shields and will try to get round the back of you.

The game engine appears similar to the first gears of war game, using the same cover format and execution facility.

Dont start this game expecting Elder Scrolls or Fallout 3 type gameplay, because it's not like that at all. There is no inventory to talk about and no multiple weapon storage.

Now, the bad points. The game is glitchy, VERY glitchy. To be honest, It looks like they have rushed it out without testing it. On one of the missions, where you have to collect four ruin stones, the stones just werent there... The coloured lights were there, but no stones. I had to quit, restart the game and start again from the last save, and hey presto, the stones were there. This does frustrate a little but it's not a massive problem.

All in all, a good enjoyable game with a few glitches that frustrate, but dont really spoil it.
