Yet another great addition from Hoyle!
From Chess to Backgammon, from Battle Ships to Hangman and everything in between... you will be asured to keep yourself amused for several hours on end. They even put in the new Sudoku and Kakuro in this package and that makes it all the more worth while. If you are new to Hoyle Games... then you will find out right away that you have more than just games here. You also have competition as well. There are 10 different people/animals/aliens that have been in the boxed sets for a long time and they just keep you amused as you play. Taunting you and teasing you with the moves you do... you can have the computer randomly choose opponents for you or you can choose your favorites to play against each time. I personally like Chloe as she is rather ruthless but funny at the same time. Along with that if one of the characters is beating you or you just want to let them know how you feel (nice or upset) you can press with your mouse button either the happy or upset face below each characters area and interact with them. This also is quite amusing and fun at times.
The graphics are very colorful and pleasing to the eyes. Nothing to flashy here... just very well put together graphics. The big thing with them is that you can change them per each game. You (as you play and win games) will obtain Hoyle Bucks that you can use to choose Backgrounds, Trinkets, and other things to personalize your space in the game. From a cute teddy bear to a bag of fries... each comes with it's own price and you can have multiple things in your space. You can also interact with them as well... so while you are waiting your turn you can amuse yourself. You also can purchase music and sounds in the game too so you have nice things to listen to while you play. There also is the facemaker that allows you to customize your face, clothing, and voice and other things as well. In this version they have put up rewards thru the Catalog for you to purchase as you win Hoyle Bucks to enhance your characters looks. In conclusion... young and old alike will really love this game. With 45 different games to choose from... you will find it hard to not find one or two that you love to play regularly. The wide variety of customization will also make each player happy as they can have the game the way they like when they play. If you are looking for a great game to pass away the rainy days.... this is a winner for sure!
