Great rainy day game for young and old alike!!!
The package is very simple. It comes with a great many different card games ranging from Old Maid to Hearts and Canasta... plus everything in between. Being pretty straight forward... you just choose your game and play, but with a small twist. You get to choose (if you wish) to pick between the computer characters that you play with and or against. Each one of them has their own personallity which is both unique in how they play and will react as they play. For instance... playing Canasta with one character as your partner may be more benificial than having them as a competitor. You need to learn the traits and characteristics of each one of them as you progress. Some are better at some games than others. Each character also can talk to you and they usually have quite funny things that they will say that make the game enjoyable. Below each character (including your own) is a box with a happy face and a upset face. You can choose either to say a nice or somewhat rude saying to any of the characters in the game you are playing. You can also choose your own to have your character say funny things that the other ones will respond to as well.
I realy did like the facemaker in the game that allows you to make your character look how you want. They have a ton of things to choose from. Hats, glasses, clothing, and even different voices as well. The graphics are not very elaborate but yet there are alot of options that will allow you to customize the game to your liking. The game has this feature called Hoyle Dollars that you earn as you win each game you play. Doing different things in each game (like getting a certain hand or score) will then gain you more money. You use this money to purchase new backgrounds, card decks, and or funny little things that you can set beside your character (like a hula doll lamp, teddy bear, or a great many other things,) You can also use them to purchase different music in the game as well that is very pleasing to listen to.
With all of these features... the game can be completely different on each computer and each session can be different each time. There is also an online feature to play against life competitors as well. This game is just simply one of the best card game packages that has come out in quite sometime and is fun for both young and old alike. If you love card games... this is a great game to add to your collection for those rainy days (or even sunny days) when you wish to just sit back with some tea or coffee and relax!
