After playing the demo for this game, I knew I would want to buy it. From the many unlockable outfits, characters, gear and accessories to the story mode and gameplay, Hot Shots Tennis: Get a Grip is incredibly enjoyable. Though many might find the story mode a chore, I find it quirky, fun and an adventure. It's pretty much a mini-RPG and tennis combined into one. In story mode, you visit many different areas of a map and try to get a new unlockable character by playing against other non-playable characters and doing little tasks for them as well.
The game features quick play matches, including multiplayer for those who do and don't own the game: one of the few game sharing games for the PlayStation Portable out there. It also features plenty of tasks for you to gain 100% completion, to increase replayability. For those of you who like tennis as much as I do, as well as enjoying text/adventure games, this game will be a great buy for $19.99.
