A lot of hype but for the wrong reasons

I bought the Zero Dawn and was impressed by the visual quality, but controls were clunky, learning curve felt cumbersome & returned it. However, after hearing about the improvements for this in previews, I preordered Forbidden West. The effect on my PS5's performance is unacceptable - the frame rate lags badly while running around the overworld. Additionally, the story elements are rather boring & drag between NPCs and events. The music is basically muzak. There's little this offers that you can't find in Uncharted, Witcher 2/3, etc. Play Tales Of, Souls, Yakuza, something good, not this.
