User Rating: 5 | Home Alone GEN
The good: setting traps is fun, 5 different houses including Kevin's, decent graphics
The bad: You run out of traps, control is screwed, running out of time beats the game, music is rediculous, Harry and Marve go in random houses, making it impossible for you to predict which house they're in.

I loved the first two Home Alone games, this my favorite. However, when I heard of the video game versions, I was shocked at those games, they sucked. Home Alone 2 is by far worse than this, but Home Alone for the Sega Genesis is by far a disasterous game.

In this game, you must help Kevin stop Harry and Marve from looting all the houses. If you don't, it doesn't matter, you'll beat the game if they don't loot all the houses. This gets annoying, plus, you'll run out of traps, and therefore, you'll get trapped by the wet bandits most all the time.

Graphically, the game looks great. You can clearly recognize the characters and objects, and not one thing is screwed. However, the sound doesn't fair much better. The music is incredibly cheesy, and the audio is a disaster.

Occasionally, Kevin will need to get snowballs to fire guns at the wet bandits. However, Kevin can just make snowballs instead of running into snowmen. For this and many reasons, this is an offense to the Home Alone movies, and a total Genesis screw-up. This is best for renting, and a waste of time for Genesis fans.
