Killing never felt so good

User Rating: 8.4 | Hitman: Contracts PS2
The Hitman series is a clever and violent way to take out targets in a puzzle style setting. Yes it's a puzzle as the player tries to figure out the best way to eliminate their targets without sounding any alarms and avoid being caught. The voice acting is good and the cinamatics are well done. But the only problem I have with the game is some of the missions become stale and the methods to eliminate the targets gets old.The weapons range from pistols, silent or unsilent, SMG's, Fiber Wires, poisonous cyringes, and a sniper rifle. The players task is to eliminate a specified target in a populated area. The method of killing is based on the player as there are multiple paths the player can take each of which the player needs to find out. And in doing so there is a sense of gratification as the target whimpers to a silent death, or a violent one if the player so desires. Unfortunately there isn't any point to play through the game again as there is no replay value. Once beaten it's time to head over to the local video game store to trade it in for the next Hitman game Bloodmoney. What I would like to see in the next installment of the series, after Bloodmoney, would be an online co-op mode for up to 4 players. All of which are trying to take out targets together.Hitman: Contracts is a good game. But don't expect too much. And for the price you can probably find this game at a bargain bin for around $6.00
