You can't call me a fan of the Hitman games. Hitman: Absolution is the Hitman game I've ever played. I bought it because I wanted to try something new and different. The first couple missions I just wanted to shoot guys and get from point A to point B. Then I realized there's actually depth to this game. I look at Hitman like this.. You are dropped off into a mission/level. Like a maze there are multiple ways to get to where you're going and stealth is a big part of it. Yes you can go in guns blazing but there is often way to many enemies and it's way more satisfying to use stealth kills and hide and the shadows. The levels are like micro missions, they aren't too long and if you know what you are doing you can move the pace along. However for the first time playing missions you'll probably do alot of trial and error and restart the mission a couple times because enemies are scripted every time. So if you restart a mission the enemy will do the exact same thing over. This is crucial for activating certain stealth kills.

Hitman is a very fun game and it's cool to see what disguises you'll find, weapons, and what kind of stealth kills you can pull off without getting caught. The graphics are beautiful and there's usually a ton of NPC's on the screen at one time. Alot of games these days just offer action, with Hitman you get sort of a Metal Gear Solid type feel to it. I'm comparing game play because no game can mimic the awesome storyline of Metal Gear Solid.

All in All I would recommend this game to anyone. It's a fun game that requires a little patience but the rewards are often satisfying. There are always multiple ways to complete a mission. It's a fun game that focuses on game play rather than story. The missions are broken up well so you can take a break whenever you want and resume right where you left off.
