Heroes of the Pacific (XBOX)

With all of the world war two first-person shooters out now like Call of Duty and Brothers in arms, it's nice to see a WW2 flying game once in a while. In this game your play in real events that happened in world war two like pearl harbour and levels like Wake island. There is instant action as soon as the game starts, you are surrounded by hundreds of Japanese planes but luckily you are a much better pilot than they are. There are tons of planes to choose from, none of them are great but none of them are bad because all the planes are better in some things than others. For example a plane with a high attack rating usually has a lower defence rating and vice-versa.
A problem I found was that the control you have over the plane is not very realistic at all, if you are on fire and about to blow up you can still control the plane perfectly. But other than that the game was great, it's not a true flight simulator but it's ridiculously fun to play. The graphics were well done but the sound was even better, hearing the engine roar and the guns firing is really cool. Sometimes it can get boring when you get into a dogfight because it could take hours to finish one especially if you are after one main target. I know this is not a very detailed review but I only played this game for a day, what do you expect?
