B-movie extreme carnage dripping with grueling grim gaming fun.

User Rating: 10 | Hatred PC

A violent flesh orchestra of non-stop blood chilling slaughter where every scream is a tempting siren song to more psychosis endorphin heights of orgiastic carnage.

Execution cams are grim and brutally dazzling in their excellence of shocking impact on the level of extreme gore movies such as WIZARD OF GORE, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and STORY OF RICHIE. Butchering innocents is unnerving and harrowing and eerily satisfying in its macabre death soaked delivery like seeing a train wreck and looking when you feel as if you should not.

The black and white graphics enhance the feeling of being a character who has completely crossed over into a world of death where all other pleasures except vengeance and malevolence no longer exist. Physics are a nightmarish marvel of architecture annihilating madness where interior walls are shot out, doors shattered into eye piercing splinters, exterior walls explode into a typhoon of limb crushing bricks, cars detonate into blazing fire balls consuming flesh in a fiery caress of unequaled inescapable agony. Animations are wonderfully done as bodies flail about in terror and react to flesh shredding weapons impact. Dying bodies slowly slump against signs and slide down.

Audio is a funeral dirge shattering the facade of normality awakening the senses to a realm of murderous adrenaline heart thumping terror where civilians see their sanity ripped from their minds as they beg for their lives or in fear sweat soaked flesh attempt to fight back only to fall and fall and fall into the darkness the sweet escape of nothingness.. the death beyond knowing as the sound of a living environment is transformed into a desolate wind swept graveyard. The sounds of bullet impacts piercing thin walls and doors floods the air with mind numbing fear. Bricks sound like bricks..hurtful bricks. Explosions are all enveloping audio kisses of BOOM! Weapons have depth and a sense of power like a sledgehammer to the chest in their audio design.

Music is well paced with a 1970's John Carpenter horror movie ambiance. Check out the credits for some delicious head banging Death Metal euphoria :)

Game play is kill kill kill with set goals that are visible on a mini map such as wiping out a hotel full of guests taking down everything and everyone while destroying the landscape which will give you points earning you a respawn along with STEAM achievements. Doing executions will replenish your health.

If you crave for something dark and sinister.. something with that morbid magic of the first POSTAL then HATRED shall be your salvation my virtual murderous brothers and sisters. Enjoy the fantasy cause that's what games are all about.
