Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town for the Gameboy Advance is a peaceful and relaxed simulation game where you play the role of a young man who inherits a farm from an old man who passed away recently. Once you clear the fields of debris and make enough money to get started, you can jump right in to playing this game however you want. You can choose to start using your land and planting seeds and then harvesting the crops, or you can also raise animals like chickens, cows, and sheep and sell the eggs, milk and wool they produce. You can also choose to go fishing or mine for precious metals and gemstones, or participate in festival activities, like horse racing and cooking. You will also probably want to eventually settle down and start a family, and there are several eligible ladies in the area, but it's all completely up to you. With all the tools to upgrades, and the money to be saved, and the recipes to be learned, the items to be collected, and secrets to discover, this game could literally go on indefinitely. For everyone that just wanted to be able to enjoy a simpler life amidst a charming world, this game is just plain fun and easy to get in to. Sure, there are some negative things about this game, like the repetitiveness of some of the farm chores, and the English version has quite a few typos in the text, but overall, this game is a fun little departure for everybody.
