A game not to be underestimated!!

From first glance, one would take a look at Harvest Moon would toss it aside for another worthwhile RPG. I used to be like that as well. Playing the game changes everything. Though it is pure farming and lacks a "save the world" kind of element to it that is traditional to nearly all RPGs, it is very relaxing and addicting in its own way. The serenity of the Valley with the music makes you feel like you are actually in the countryside adds to its addictiveness.Though the tasks are pretty repetitive in nature and few festivals take place, just the feeling that you are accomplishing something keeps you coming back for more. Whether its creating new hybrid crops, fruits, keeping tabs on your livestock, or playing a role in the development of your child, you are never bored in this game. And if you get sick of taking care of the farm, you can fish, hit up the local bar, relax at the beach, or just wander around, enjoying the thrilling fresh air and mingling with the locals.

Though the game covers approximately 30 years, you only play then of then in a span of 6 chapters, with new features taking place each chapter! Plus, if you manage to finish the game with one wife, you can always come back and play again with a another bachelorette and see how that life turns out.

Despite, the reputation the series has developed since its SNES days, many gamers continue to underestimate it as a pure "waste of time". I urge those gamers to buy a copy of this game fast and give it a try. I promise you, you will not be disappointed and look for Harvest Moon titles to try out!
