Fun for a few hours but gets old quick.

This game is almost a very good game. The gameplay is very simple, with decent graphics and sound. You basically build a simplified kind of space base and construct laser towers and missile silos to defend it from hordes of alien invaders.

I understand the games attempt to take simplicity and concentrate it into a very playable game, but it doesn't quite get there.

The game gives you several different types of well balanced missile silos, but you only get one kind of totally crappy laser tower. They can be linked together to make a more powerful laser attack, but this takes a ton of towers and so it gets old very fast. Plain and simple, if they would have offered a variety of laser towers, I'd probably play this game on and off for years to come. They didn't however, so its just kinda boring now.

I actually hope they make a new one, with some more variations on what you can build. I would buy it if they did. As for this version, I got a few hours of enjoyable gameplay, but am pretty bored of it now.

Conclusion: If you see it for a bargain price, give it a try.
