Before Halo 5 I was a mega Halo nerd. I read all the books and short stories, knew every corner of the lore. But seeing the direction 343 is going for makes me sick.
They didn't just **** us over with the removal of splitscreen or the microtransaction bullshit. No, what they really fucked us over with was the story. Turning our lovable AI companion into a cringeworthy villain, forcing us to play through 85% of the campaign as the most boring spartan ever and to put even more salt in our freshly fucked anuses, they give us an unsatisfying ending that screams ''Halo 6 soon™''.
Sure, you might just be playing it for the multiplayer but for me, Halo is dead and beyond repair.
6/10 if you're only interested in the multiplayer.
4/10 if you're in for the story and lore of the game.
