If there ever was a franchise that I've been quite quiet about...it's the Halo franchise. Personally, I love it. Halo 1 and 2 are Original Xbox classics, and I would put it in my Xbox or X360 any day. And I have so many memories with Halo 3 in particularly, playing couch-cooperative with my friends was always a joy ride from beginning to end. Am I one of the few who actually loved Halo Wars? ODST had an excellent campaign, albeit short. Reach was Bungie's last hoorah before they went to make Destiny in 2014. When Halo 4 was announced many years back in...2011 i think it was...I was actually kind of miffed. I kind of wanted the series to just kind of end there. Personally Halo 4...and Halo 5 for that matter...Are games that i don't think we should never have gotten...But, with that said, for what we got, were games that unquestionably had a lot of effort, and polish. But are...dare I say...not as good as the original games.

Now after dropping all that info...How's Halo 5? Well...to be honest...I don't find it to be as good as Halo 4. And I certainly don't find it to be as good as the originals. But what we have is unquestionably a graphically impressively game that show's off what the console could do....And...if you're not counting The Master Chief Collection, it is the smoothest looking Halo game to date.

There seemed to be more emphasis on story this time around...and after Halo 4's campaign, needless to say, I was curious. Gotta Be honest, I was more disappointed with the story rather than interested. I don't think it's bad, I think it could've been executed better, particularly the rivalry between the two main characters.

Gameplay wise, it's fantastic. Guns pack a nice punch. There's some new gameplay elements that they added that are quite good. Sadly, you wouldn't really be enjoying the campaign for long...Halo 5's story is pretty short...I would say it's shorter than ODST's and Halo 4's depending on what difficulty you're playing on. You can play through it again with another friend online though. And playing the campaign with a friend online is probably a better experience

Ah yes, note that I said 'Online' because Unfortunately, Split-Screen Multiplayer has been removed...This...is one of the worst decisions ever. Other people have talked about how stupid of a decision it is. And it is True. Its beyond a stupid decision with a stupid excuse for taking it out.

But even with Split-Screen removed, how is The Multiplayer? Well, it's excellent! All of the modes you come to expect from Halo are all there, though I wouldn't mind Firefight, or Special Ops to come back, I heard that it's coming though. I never had any connectivity issues, which is great because after the issues that i had with Master Chief Collection, I was skeptical of how the connectivity for 5 was going to be like. The armor customization is back and is as broad as ever...though I would do without those micro transactions...stupid decision.

I think...If you see Halo 5 as it's own thing, then you'd be pleasantly surprised. But...when you compare it to the games that preceded it, it's simply not as good as the others. In fact, to be honest, I think it's one of the weakest. Die-Hard fans would probably disagree with that...but with that said, I think Halo 5 has does do a lot of good things right to be worth purchasing.

If you're thinking about purchasing an Xbox One, this is one exclusive that I recommend.
