A new perspective and slightly altered gameplay does it work?

User Rating: 7 | Halo 3: ODST X360
Welcome to halo odst the darkest halo game to ever hit the shelves. Introducing an all new story partiened from the old and new main character "the rookie" we explore the depths of being the bravest most suicidal soldiers. ODST Orbital Drop Shock Trooper the top of the line volenteered soldiers with hearts of gold. These are the the soldiers first dropped into the battle with little more than what feels like a dumbed down version of the spartans energy sheild.

With these things in mind you begin to realise you are no longer a one man army but 1 man trapped in a warzone fighting your way through trying to stay alive. The enemies in this game will bring some confusion at first as the elites have been subsequently replaced with brutes and a new race not seen in any other game revealed. The true feeling of this game is not like any other and the mood the tension deeper and darker emotionally attaching you to the characters as never before.

Unfortunatley this game does have minor issues that ruin both gameplay and interest. First and foremost the darkness of this game while sets the mood does also make it incredibly hard to see. Even with a new heads up system that outlines every detail in the game it is often hard to see what you are shooting at. If seeing wasnt your only problem the main city in which you traverse between missions can be a maze at time making for frustrating gameplay. Overall this game is good but probably to different and out there for your average halo player. Definetly worth playing but try before you buy!
