Halo 2 provides an outstanding sequel to the amazing Halo:Combat Evolved

Halo 2 was the sequel to an outstanding shooter,which completely changed how first person shooters were made forever.Halo 2 had amazing graphics,super smart intellegince,making each battle different every time,and a great multiplayer system.In Halo 2,you fight a variety of enemies:aliens,robots,humans,and...zombies?Well,sort of.For most of the game,you play as Master Chief,whom players are given very little information about.This does keep you guessing,and sort of focuses the game more on the action,rather than the plot.And the story in this game is pretty dull,and leaves you at a cliff hanger,almost making you mad that you didn't get a real ending.
Awful story aside,Halo 2 amazes me still today.Like I said before,most of the game,you play as Master Chief,who is like a supersoldier who fights along side the human military.In a few missions,you play as aliens,instead,and you have to kill your friends from your last mission.Also,flying robots have made their appearance quite a few times in this game,along with a new type of enemy,the flood!The flood is probably the hardest type of enemy in this game,next to the hunters.The flood is basicly a zombie.There are little bugs that run around and attack humans and aliens.If these bugs,called packs,all attack a human,that human will turn into a flood.These guys are not easy to fight off because they use weapons frequently.Another reason is if you kill a flood,it is not neccesarily dead.Unless if you use an energy sword or kill it with a grenade,the flood can come back to life,if a little pack gets inside the flood corpse.Great.
When the game was released,it was the first in the series to use Xbox Live,which was groundbreaking for its time.Now,you could play with annoying strangers from across the world,who get to insult you every time they kill you.Don't get me wrong,Xbox Live is great,but there are very annoying people on there.Also,if you're new to shooters,don't try it,because there are losers who spend their whole day playing Halo,and are far too good at it.If you're looking for online play now,you'll have to get an Xbox 360,and get Halo 3.
Another great thing about this game is local online play.Since it's your friends,you don't have to take what they say,since you can just punch them in the face.Also,the maps were pretty well designed.But,some of these are better for many players,others good for just two people.
Like I said before,the game's artificial intelligance is great,and it always keeps you guessing.The only problem with this game's AI,is that they can't seem to drive right.THey usually end up driving into a wall,so looks like they gotta ride shotgun.
If you're looking for a good shooter,then Halo 2 is probably a good choice,and I highly recommend it.
