Every once in a while, there comes a game that just blows your mind Half-life 2 is one of those games. Master Pie

This is quite possibly the best first person shooter I have played in my entire life.

Gameplay is top notch. It really immerses you in the world. You feel like you're Gordon Freeman. The atmosphere of a dystopian future presented in this game, is something I have never seen before in any other video game. Sometimes i think Children of Men may have gotten its inspiration from Half-Life 2

Story, while some may consider weak, can hold its own against others. I specially liked the part where ***spoiler start*** you try to teleport yourself and alyx back to kleiners lab and get stuck for like a week. I am always fascinated by time travel and stuff like that ***spoiler end***

Graphics may look dated as of 2013, but they're still pretty good considering this game came back in 2004. Source is a truly remarkable engine.

Some games use physics as just an eye candy, this game uses physics to really alter the game play, like putting bricks on one side of a plank so it doesn't rise up when you use the other side to make a jump to a higher ground. I have just one word, Gravity Gun!

Conclusion: I would just like to say that every gamer owes himself to play this game atleast once. I played Half-Life 1 after Half-Life 2 and I had no trouble picking up the story. Infact Half-Life 2 made me wanna play Half-Life 1

btw i had already posted a review about hl2, i dont know where it went
